What ages are the letters for?
The Society’s letters and artwork are family-friendly and made for curious people of every age — children sharing the experience with a grown-up, as well as for teens, adults, elders, and the kid in all of us.
When will mail arrive?
Delivery time depends on the postal service. Free replacements are sent 14 days after the shipment date if you have not received your item(s) by then. Email us with any issues or concerns at thepostmaster@thesocietyofsmallmagic.com.
Digital editions are emailed two weeks after physical mail has been shipped, to allow time for letters to reach snail mail subscribers and prevent spoilers.
Why can’t physical editions be sent to the European Union?
The European Union’s Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (EU 2025/40), which generally began applying on August 12, 2026, requires producers to register in each EU member country where they first make packaging available. For a tiny independent mail operation, 27 separate registrations and their associated compliance costs are prohibitive. Physical editions therefore cannot be shipped to EU countries at this stage—but digital memberships and digital archived letters remain available worldwide.
Where can the Society send mail?
Physical memberships, gifts, and archived letters may be ordered for eligible destinations outside the European Union that are offered at Stripe checkout. We do not ship physical editions to EU member countries. Digital memberships and digital archived letters are available worldwide.
Can I cancel?
Yes. You may cancel anytime before the next renewal to prevent future charges. Canceling does not undo an order that has already entered fulfillment.
What is the refund policy?
Because physical editions are assembled in limited monthly batches, fulfilled orders are nonrefundable. If an edition arrives damaged or does not arrive, contact the Society through our official TikTok account so we can make it right. Delivered digital editions are nonrefundable.
What happens to my information?
Email-list and waitlist information is used only to send the Society correspondence you requested and news about relevant openings. We do not sell it. Checkout and payment information are handled securely by Stripe under its own privacy terms.
Terms of participation
The Society’s writing, art, characters, and artifacts are protected creative work for personal enjoyment. Please do not reproduce or resell them. Participation spaces must remain lawful and respectful. Prices, contents, and fulfillment dates will be shown before purchase and may change for future, unpurchased editions.
